HI! I'm Chelle
A floral artist. I've been painting for 16 years, but I started painting late in life.
I wasn't born an artist.
In fact, I was an English teacher to middle schoolers for several years.
When my husband attended medical school, I did medical transcription to help pay the bills.
I'm Mom to 4 gorgeous girls, wife to a busy surgeon, and have a busier schedule than a Silicon Valley CEO!
Yes, I'm NOT a born artist by any stretch of the imagination!
However, I've always loved art.
I was lucky to have an art teacher in high school who encouraged creative expression.
I was also lucky that when I decided to learn, I met a gallery owner and art teacher who really encouraged me. Can you see the common thread?
Talent may not be innate.
But it can be developed with encouragement and guidance!
That's my goal for you! I want to encourage and guide YOU so YOU can develop your artistic talent confidently!
Today my artwork can be found in TWO galleries--The District Gallery, Knoxville, TN and online at The Scouted Studio.
I've collaborated with well-known names like HomeGoods, Kirkland Home, Artfully Walls, and Tamara Day from Bargain Mansions on Magnolia Network.
But most importantly, today, I know exactly what it feels like to be an artist.
I know what it's like to struggle through a painting, having a vision of what I want it to be but not knowing how to make it happen.
I know what it is like to walk away from a canvas and wonder if I should keep painting.
But, I also know what it is like to experience the pure joy of putting paint on a canvas.
I know the feeling of growth and progress in seeing my ideas literally come to LIFE.
